Say No to Dreadlocks: Key West Cops accost man with *suspicious* hair

May 16, 2007

I'm guessing this street was a few neighbors short of a Peter Tosh fan club - and probably not too many folks on this block groovin' out to Bob Marley either. Looks like quite a scare was averted after a man with dreadlocks - entering his new rental unit on Linda Ave - found himself face to face with the business end of a smith and wesson after neighbors reported a break in *in* progress. Cops came in the house only to realize that, uhhh……Guy was renting the friggin' house. C'mon people. Are we living in 1950 Mississipi? Full story at the link below:

Welcome to the blockKEY WEST — Apparently nosy neighbors called police last week saying a black man with dreadlocks was trying to get into a home on Linda Avenue. After police arrived with their guns drawn, it was determined that a man and woman inside were new rental tenants.
